2011 was better than 2010. 2011 felt more of game, 2010 was just boring.

Not sure if I am going 2012, cars not best looking will have to see what else they got on it

If Codemasters make an F1 game where the cars donít slide about on almost straightaways, and a game where everything feels polished and well developed, then I might think about it. More features are welcome, but for me there are fundamental issues with their games that they need to rectify.

Bah, you're right. But then that's little praise for Codemasters though!

The only f1 cars i'll be driving will be in rFactor 2 or maybe cars if they finish it this year.

How do you drive on Dirt 3, I can't see to get the damn cars to go in a stright line, or around a corner for that matter. It turns the slightest movement into massive oversteer. It makes no sense to me.

Dirt Showdown,

New Dirt 4 will be coming out as well. I think that will cater more for just rallying this time around.

Codemasters are the new EA, just spawning rubbish after rubbish lol

Wow, that looks amazingly rubbish. When Codemasters made cars with unacceptable oversteer, at least the races were based on real motorsports (BTCC, V8 Supercars etc). It looks like theyíre targeting the kiddy market with that.

Iíve said this before, but games that sit on the fence and try and appeal to casual gamers and petrolheads gamers donít really work. The NFS street racing games were proof of this, they had some interesting tuning options, only to have awful AI and cars that handled like jelly.

Driver San Francisco was a great game, because it never pretended to have realistic driving physics in the slightest. You had to handbrake your way around corners and the handling was skittish. The surrounds and sounds of the cars were brilliant, but the game was more about graphics and sensations than realistic handling.

Now can you see why I was getting excited about it, lol.

Read an online magazine article about a guy who went over to Italy and paid to have a test of it, He give it excellent reviews and reckons it will be one of the best ever racing games.

After the embarrassment of NFS The Run, NFS is back with Most Wanted. It goes back to Hot Pursuitís concept, which was so popular in 2010.

If this is like Hot Pursuit 2010 was, it will be a great game. I like arcade games, in the right way.

The adrenaline and wackiness is kind of appealing, especially with the exotica that NFS has: http://uk.ign.com/games/need-for-speed-most-wanted-2012/ps3-126560

First game to have the Porsche 991, I think.

Hot Pursuit meets Burnout Paradise. I'm intrigued. Wink

Yeah indeed. Paradise was a blast, and Hot Pursuit 2010 was epic. It seems to me that the right bits might be fused together Ė the exotic cars of NFS, and the gameplay that made Burnout a great game.

NFS games are so hit-and-miss. The ones that focus on Honda Civicsí are crap; the games that concentrate on gorgeous roads, prestige cars and cop chases are always great. NFS was founded on that formula Ė they shouldnít mess with it.

I'm looking forward to and dreading rF2 (and CARS and GTR3 and Assetto Corsa) and which is going to come out on top, I have no idea.

No X Box for me, sadly, so no. I would like to try it, though.

I shall be getting Need for Speed Most wanted next week. The car line-up is delicious; itíll be the first game to have the Porsche 911. NFS is going back to what made Hot Pursuit in 2010 so popular; exotic cars, amazing police chases on amazing roads. Coming Criterion, the makers of Burnout, itís guaranteed to be a thriller.

NFS games always have great sound, perhaps the only area of realism. Whether itís a rasping flat six or gurgling AMG V8, they sounded lovely on Hot Pursuit Ė I expect the same.

It isnít realistic in any other way, but thatís never been the point.

I am thinking about buying that, last yearís NASCAR game was good in my opinion. Thankfully it doesnít matter that the Eutechnyx games havenít been officially imported to the UK, with multi region playability.

This is an excellent seller, no excess delivery charges from outside UK: http://www.365games.co.uk/ps3-games/nascar-the-game-inside-line-game-ps3--

Really wish it had Trucks and Nationwide like EA games used to, though.

I got NFS Most Wanted. Its decent enough, but apart from the new cars, I donít see how it improves on Hot Pursuit from 2010. The car sounds are utterly delicious, a Porsche flat six and Dodge V10 truly snarl.
