The 1:18th is poor, but then it does go up against the Auto Art's NO COMPETITION!!

I have the bonnet off of the Solido as the rest broke very easily.

I seem to remember you saying that elsewhere

and in response to 24. Saw the Autoart gulf showcar against Solidos Aston, and to be honest the Solido even looks cheap, so I agree with you there!

manafactured by Vitesse. well thats what the label says.
Picked it up in the modelzone sale. was around 6 quid. Lists all the races and the points Loeb scored too. I was well impressed when i realised the bonnet opens on it. Sure the detail beneath isnt the best in the world, its not your cmc quality, but for 6 quid, i aint moaning. Will spend most of the time closed anyway
and the "no 5" makes me laugh... tempted to stick a sticker over the top of it

Havent been around on here much lately, but now that I am back, Im going to upload a few more pics of things purchased since my last visit
Honda RA108 Jenson Button.

This ones great, cant wait for the Rubens version now

Mattel Ferrari F430

Despite the reputation Mattel have, this is the basic entry version of the F430, and Im impressed. Cant really fault it for the money (25) and would recommend it to someone on a budget like myself

Maisto Audi R8

Great value for money this one (15). This was picked up cheap at Halfords, and the only 2 critisms I have personally are the shinyness of the tyres, and that the dashboard detail are stickers affraid , but overall a nice replica.

Waiting now for the RA108 of Barichello, and for payday so I can but the Lambourghini reventon and Ferrari F40

Ace cars Neal. I don't know if you know anybody who has a Costco membership, but Maistro 1/18's are 8 each! affraid

Just shows you though, how much profit retailers like GPL really make. I mean if Costco can afford to sell 1/18's for
8, they still be making some profit.

Im impressed. Shame its a trade cash and carry.
Thats awful now, the sheer amount of mark up is stupid. All these "50% off makes us a loss" stories now appear to be a lie!

It could be the fact that Costco's supplier charges them less, but yeah 25 for standard Maistro's sounds ridiculous when they can be had for 8 elesewhere.

AS PROMISED, I GIVE YOU, UPDATES!!!

Ferrari F40 (Mattel)

For the entry level F40, I was impressed. The thing surprised me with the sheer weight of it, Very Very Heavy! Well in comparison to the F430 that I have by Mattel in the entry level. Also, was impressed by the bonnet hold up type of thing in the back of the replica, in order to keep the back up when you want to see inside. Also considering most Mattels are cheap looking (from experience of the F1 models), once again they have proved me wrong.

Lamborghini Reventon (Mondo Motors)

Where to start with this one? One hell of a lot of model for the money. As Big Al has said, this is DEFINATELY the model of the year. Its not cheap looking, and I reckon will give the more expensive version that has been announced a run for its money. On the whole, one happy chappy with this one

Dream garage, made by replicas

David Coulthard RB4

Yet again, another stunning machine replicated brilliantly in 1/43rd by Minichamps. Not much more to say apart from I wish they would replicate the final race livery on it, really want one of them.

NEW DISPLAY UNIT

technically a bookshelf from Argos for around 11, fits diecast on nicely. Definately a nice attition to the display cabinets. For those who are interested, they are in the Catalogue, and this is the pine finish

Just moved into a new house and i am working on the man cave in the basement. The slot car track is all set up but the display shelves are all still packed up. I will post pics asap

Very envious of the Aston Martin collection! I have made a point to purchase every DBR9 Scalextric has released and have feilded the cars since they came out every single weekend. I may now have to start collecting the static models! very nice! winner
