Absolutely awesome paintscheme on that model Philip, looks superb!

It is a very eye-catching livery. But then, the Escort Cossie looks great in almost any livery !! Cool

Some pics of the AUTOart Didier Auriol `88 Tour De Corse Sierra, which I won for only 36 earlier this week. whooo

I now have the complete range of Ford rally cars, from the Mk1 Escort, right up to the current Focus WRC car. That's not to say there aren't more to collect ! Wink

Staying in the classic vein, I bought this locally last week. It's Sunstar's 1/18 Russell Brookes `79 'Andrews Heat For Hire' RS1800. I got it for 48. Full retail is 51.99, which is too much for a Sunstar. I can't wait until Minichamps release their 1/18 ADAC DRM 'wide-body' MkII RS1800s, and their RS2000 road car ! bounce

Another classic Ford. This is UT's 1/18 Malcolm Wilson Michelin Pilot Escort Cosworth.

There is on one e-bay at the mo, but it has the standard Ford 5-spoke Cosworth rims. I don't know whether someone has changed them, or if UT produced the WRC road car with two different types of rims. scratch

that one ?

they have been swapped over, i have never seen one like that before & i got mine when it first came out & the model shop had a few in, as the normal Whale Tail was released at the same time with the 5 spoke wheels on so there is no way that it was a early version, as i got both versions at the same time, & they wouldn't have changed the wheels later on, as one is a WRC car & the other is a road version Cosworth.

It's been a while, but here is the first of my recent buys. It's AUTOart's beautiful 1/18 Jaguar XKSS, from the Steve McQueen collection. You can actually pick these up relatively cheaply on e-bay. I won mine for 46.99.
I'll post the 'moody' pics first.

Nope, it's an original. I won it on e-bay just over a week ago. The seller is from Brasov, in Romania. Top bloke, too. thumbsup

Not a road or rally car, but it is powered by Ford ! Cool It's Minichamp's 1/18 Barrichello Stewart-Ford SF-1. This was from the days when F1 cars
were beautiful.....no horrible aero appendages sprouting from the bodywork.

Marvellous, I still remember the 1999 European Grand Prix fondly.

I think your collection has been a bit "homogeneous", so to speak. santa
