got some new shelves today Bertby ones from IKEA bounce

right i have assembled one of the Bertbys, here are some pics, i haven't attached it to the wall yet as im going to make some better brackets to hold it to the wall as i do not want it to fall off !

i have worked it out that i can get 15 1/18's in & a helmet at the top so i will do that as i can always take the helmet out & that will give me room for another 1/18, i will put Danica in one & Hammy in the other.

anyway here is the pic's.

there will be another on the other side of the heater in the TV room & the other side of the room are my existing shelves for my best models / action figures & part of my DVD collection.

Smile

Very neat and organised Al, I would like to have that in my house, a shame that space is an issue. Sad

they do look big, but they aren't really once they are on the wall;

Assembled size
Width: 42 cm
Depth: 19 cm
Height: 170 cm
Max load/shelf: 3 kg

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/search/?query=bertby

i did have to get some more shelf holders from Scewfix 100 are 5 & some more shelves a mate of mine does windows so he can get me the glass for 2 & i need 20 of them as i have three Bertbys, i did ask at a glass shop how much it would cost from them & they quoted me 88 for 20 pieces Shocked

if there is a Ikea by you or if you happen to pass one its worth going in & having a look as they are perfect for 1/18 & 1/43.

there is also a Deltof http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/10011055 but putting in shelves is a little bit more difficult.

they have quite a few suitable display cases at Ikea Smile

i didn't think i had room to have them either Sav, but im so glad i got them & wish i had got them years ago, also decided to get one for my bedroom, it will be a squeze to get it in, but it will give me room for 17 more models bounce

I like the look of the shelving, but I have horizontal shelving for my diecasts in my room that already takes up a lot of space. Looks very smart though.
