You can get V8 Supercar diecasts from Diecast Legends. I would like one (not a Ford), but they are very expensive.

this is it http://www.diecastlegends.com/diecast-brands/biante/ford-fg-falcon-2010-v8-supercar-champion-18-j-courtney-1-18.html it's 140 but one of the best & they may well never be any-more as the factory in China that made them for Biante has gone bust & Biante has basically lost the mouldings to make it & Biante is nearly on the brink.

the price may seem high, but in the world of die-cast 140 isn't that much, that BBR Ferrari above was a lot more Embarassed

MR 1/18 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Centanaire matt blue. Calsito Models Limited Edition of 25 (number 9).

these are raw images 3mb + in size, it is difficult to try & capture the natural colour of the car unfortunately due to the matt metallic paint, most are no flash some are.

taking a bit of inspiration from this display of the Circuit de Catalunya

i decided to make something similar, to be honest i have always wanted something like this to have so i can take some more realistic photos, i decided to go for something simple well i thought it would be anyway.

the road surface is just roofing felt fixed to some wood & then painted with matte black paint,

next is the fencing which is some small wire mesh, it's the wrong way really as it should be diamond shape, but it's the best i could find, i had it in the shed so may as well use it

the fence posts are some aluminum shaft that i got from work & bent into shape, i have drilled some holes at the top so i can thread wire through them to make them look more realistic

the wall i was going to make like rossim1 has on his but i don't have the stuff to make them look like they are concrete, so i had a look about & thought about Daytona specifically because i wanted some sort of image on the wall, but when i looked at photos of the track i saw that the walls were now those double skin safety ones, so i had to use two bits of wood next to each other, but then i was going to put some small wood pieces in between but my dad found some trunking & i thought if i put some electrical tape over them that would appear more rubber like, i then screwed them together

this is what the real wall looks like,

i am not making it the same as the real one, it's my own version,

finished it earlier on, going to make some sort of backing yet though, just going to fix some sky to a board i think.

these are the rest of the build images,

decided to use a appropriate car for the very first photo, took a few others of cars that have used the track except the F1 car but thought it a nice comparison with the IndyCar,

just like to add it's not meant as a 100% accurate replica of Daytona.

pretty pleased with it, should have done this ages ago really Smile

Thanks Alan. I'm increasingly impressed with Norev's offerings. I find the prices of Minichamps, AutoArt etc absurd, Norev's RRP prices are about right for me.

The price of diecast is just getting insane. I'd love to know the sales/profits of AutoArt, with how much they charge. 200 per 1/18 is merely the norm now. affraid

I'd love Costco, the whole seller to sell quality diecasts. They sell Maistro's at 10 per car, compared to almost 30 that most paid. If they sold more "premium" quality diecasts - I'd be more inclined to buy.

I know what you mean, have a look at these videos of the models being made

You had better not google the price of that Frontiart 1:18 - Koenigsegg Agera R then if you think AutoArt are expensive Embarassed
