Iím looking forward to watching this tomorrow. It will be strange watching motor racing on a Monday, but strange in a nice way. Gladly Motors TV have it live.

It isn't particularly logical, but I've got a lot of time for FIA GT. 2010 and 2011 were just outstanding years in terms of quality racing. The grids weren't anything to shout out, but when the racing was that good - I didn't really care.

The sprint format itself gives it a niche, but the series does seem to be plagued by constant flip-flops in technical regulations and calenders. If FIA GT is to be successful, it needs stability.

at the minute they have decent grid and both races were cracking. now SRO need to see ok we go decent grid lets not mess it up by changing stuff. i know last year they had one tire for all cars no matter if it did work or not kind of F1 that tires don't last, not sure if they kept that idea.

they just need build on this year maybe add one or two new rounds uk or where ever but not to far it will cost teams crazy money.

I agree both races were very good, and the short-format is very engaging.

The calendar is a bit rubbish, and far too dependent on weak countries at the moment. The 2010 and 2011 calenders were far better, in terms of the variety of tracks. No UK round is a bit silly, considering the UK is one of the biggest motorsport markets in the world.

The qualifying race is worth watching for Sergio Jimenez trying to close the door of his bmw during the pitstops.

I suspect with the way that the BMW Z4 is running in GT racing at the moment, other competitors might need to bash its doors to keep up!

What a great victory at Long Beach as well. bounce
