I cannot say that HRT is a particularly attractive proposition. HRT is worse than Minardi and Jordan; they were back-markers, but not usually five or six seconds off the pace. It is worrying that in HRTís third year, they havenít made any progress in terms of track performance.

Heck, HRTís biggest problem is the brakes Ė let alone the rest.

In this day and age where teams can buy good engines and gearboxes, unlike in the past where back markers got second-relate equipment, the time difference to the fastest cars is alarming.

Not convinced Minardi ever got a podium... unless you count Torro Rosso as "Minardi"....

I agree about Jordan, though... they built up to a peak in the late 90s, when they were 4th in 1998 (with a notable 1:2 finish at Spa for Damon and Ralf) and the aforementioned 1999 when Frentzen had 6 podiums and a further five 4th places, making them 3rd in the Constructor's Championship.

Ah yes, 1998 was a good season for Jordon. Although they obviously benefited from a soaking Spa and Magny Cours, the car was pretty competitive in the dry. Minardi and Jordon arguably had tougher circumstances, with engine show downs going on and parts which are not as reliable as today.

HRT is worrying because I donít see what progress theyíve made. Caterham has made some progress; they can sometimes get close to Toro Rossoís in qualifying and now have KERS, but more improvement is needed.
