37 Cars For FIA WEC Silverstone

The provisional entry for next month’s Round 4 of the 2012 FIA WEC at Silverstone numbers no fewer than 37 cars but there’s a mix of good and bad news to report.

LMP1

It will be the first appearance in a 6 hour race for the solo Toyota TS030 – How will the Le Mans bullet perform?

Rebellion’s pair of Lola Toyotas and the HPDs from Strakka and JRM are on the list but there’s no sign of either the Oak Racing Pescarolo Judd, or of the Pescarolo Team 03 Judd.

There’s still a TBA alongside Tor Graves and John Martin in the #25 ADR Delta Oreca Nissan with another TBA in the #28 Gulf Racing Middle East Lola Nissan – Frederic Fatien should return to action in the sister #29 car after his leg injury at Spa.

The Lotus LMP2 squad again field their second car which sees Vitantonio Liuzzi make his promised race debut for the team alongside James Rossiter and Kevin Weeda in the #32 Lola Judd.

There’s a quartet of ELMS cars to add to the number with The Status GP Lola Judd confirming Alex Sims alongside a pair of TBAs, The Jota Zytek Nissan, Murphy Prototypes Oreca Nissan and #42 Greaves Zytek Nissan all listed, the #42 car fielding Lucas Ordonez and Alex Brundle with Martin Brundle due to make his second race start for the team this season.

Anyone that is going I hope you guys have a great time at Silverstone. Here is hoping the weather is superb all weekend although it does not look like it Smile

Just hope it stays dry long enough for me to harass as many drivers as I can for autographs lol!

Was there too, can't believe you was there too haha, I met up with 24 he's a great lad I disappointed him though as the alone time with pritt stick didn't happen I forgot it, also met up with Willie another top bloke and he got some cracking pictures and an unexpected meeting with Nick.
I couldn't believe how quiet those Audis were they looked fantastic though but for me noise of the day them Corvettes what a noise it just echoed on the start/finish line we was sat opposite the Audi pit. I loved it my first experience of seeing endurance racing track side and I loved it!

Oh and I must confess I do actually quite like the Audi and was great to see it win.

I went last year so this was my second, had a great three days, AND Sunday did the pit walk and grid walk, sat in stands opposite for a while then walked all around the circuit .then the last 2 hours in grand stand opposite the tv screen. Parked in VIP so had bus from car park to the wing.
