Stoner fastest by .1 from Lorenzo and spies.
Rossi about a second back with "problems, but new ones" not the same old ones.
The CRT bikes looking slow so far but it's early days yet.

No driver has ever taken a 'new toy' out on track for the first time, come back and said nothing needs changing.

The impression from both Rossi and Hayden is that the team's taken a big step forward with the GP12, and that it can be worked with a lot easier compared to the 2011 bike. Plus, it apparently responds better to setup changes, which both the GP11 and 11.1 were known to be the complete opposite of 90% of the time.

I'll put this in here, probably doesn't deserve it's own thread.

Marquez missing another test. Not good news for his season at all. If he even comes back.

He had an operation on his eye (Think it was the to repair the nerves around his eye that were damaged, can't quite remember) as his eye still hadn't recovered from the Malaysia incident.

Some new liveries making debuts at the Jerez test:

Paul Bird Motorsports CRT Aprilia

Tech 3 Yamaha

Yamaha Factory Racing (almost like a negative of the 2011 livery)

Also, Rossi's got a new type of AGV helmet: “I am very happy with the Pista (Track) GP, it feels like I am not wearing a helmet. Its aerodynamics have increased, with excellent ventilation and exaggerated visibility, like switching from the TV to the cinema”.
