I'm glad that the GP2 Championship has been merged as one, because the "Asian" rounds never really gained much interest. It is better to have an international calendar, to align itself with F1 Grands Prix. The highlight has got to be Singapore, wow, GP2 going night racing on a street circuit. It will be safety car galore with drivers having brain fade - I cannot wait for the show to begin.

I heard a rather sceptical rumour that GP2 is going to be live on Sky Sports, if that's true, than heavens. Anything has got to be better than Euroshite and not bothering to show the feature races live.

both bbc and itv paid not to show gp2 and gp3 they come as a package with f1, but I don't think sky have. I hope they hire Martin Haven or someone who will care about it, there's no doubt David Croft and Martin Brundle don't care about it.

I doubt Croft or Brundle would do it anyway because they are going to be very busy with F1. Especially Croft, as he's doing every session. With the amount of money that Sky seem to be throwing at their coverage, they could easily find some different commentators to cover GP2. Considering how much Sky costs, I think showing all GP2 races live would sweaten the deal for a racing fan.

F1, GP2 and IndyCar all live would be pretty decent.

Sky Sports to show live GP2 and GP3:

British broadcaster Sky Sports will show live coverage of all GP2 and GP3 races on its new-for-2012 F1 HD channel.

Brilliant news, I think it’s right that Sky show as much motorsport as possible to make subscribing good value for money. I won’t miss Eurosport’s dreadful coverage of GP2 and GP3. At least now all the action will be live with no pissing about.

I have been critical about Sky, not at least because they previously showed very little motorsport, but, the coverage of the racing they do show is very good.

F1, GP2, GP3 and IndyCar all live – they’ve now got a great line-up of motor racing.
