the odd's of this being true arn't good, If I was putting monry down i'd be betting against but I really hope this rumour is true.

Quote :
lthough Lisles wouldn’t be drawn on where he hopes NHR will reappear, rumors have linked the team to a possible American Le Mans Series program, and John Dagys, SPEED.com’s ace sports car reporter, has been tracking an as-yet unnamed team that is said to be fielding a Honda-powered Lola LMP2 prototype. Could NHR be that team?

I do hope the Newman Haas name continues in motorsport even though they probably won't be in indycar this year.

this could be a very good year for alms. Gt will be brilliant as usual, there's more pc and gtc cars than ever before and it looks like 4 or 5 p2 cars and 2 or 3 p1 at the moment. Hopefully there will be 4 p1 at least. Even so last year the racing was good with just 3 prototypes for most the season.

I can't help[ but wonder if the deltawing might be around after le mans (assuming it goes around corners of course)

I agree. ALMS 2011 was brilliant i only missed one race live. GT was mint and will still be mint but might be losing Risi.....

I do think they need more prototypes. 4 or 5 p2 cars is great news and 2 or 3 p1 is brilliant. i do think they need to look at LMS style LMP2 only i know people want to race P1's but look at 2008 and 2010 brilliant. mix of P1 and P2 was great.

GTC was good last year and LMPC, so that is good

Lets see how ALMS 2012 goes

alms going to p2 only would be a big mistake and actually would make no difference to numbers. P1 will die completly without it. On top of that Prototype entries for LMS have been very slow, with really only Greves confirmed so far.

i wouldn't say go totally P2 but they best racing was 2008 best season of racing ever and 2010 was quite close, i think LMS is different i mean its never really been that strong in prototype entries the last few years. i do think LMP2 is right for LMS because there is rarely any P1 entries compare to when ILMC ran.
