from Radio le mans

Quote :
Our team for Motors Tv is;
Truswell
Shaw
Bradley
Goodwin
Hindhaugh

and other guest voices

Our principal duties are for Motors TV UK for whom we will deliver over 15 hours of live race coverage. Possibly other TV broadcasters too (Speed Tv Aus?).

We will also cover all of the race in audio only. In addition to our live stream, that feed will be made available to a number of syndications including, Speed.com (overnights while TV is off air) MRN (to allow them to cover the full 24 Hours)

If the facilities are made available to us in time we will also cover practice and qualifying on Thursday and Friday. The Nascar tech guys here at the Speedway are mega and are working hard to get a booth rigged for us.

Hope this helps - more info here and on the site as we get it.

This is a great race, looking foward to it. I suspect the actual visual coverage is only coming from Speed TV, it isn't being broadcasted by anybody else. Even though other stations like Motors will pick up their coverage.

There are so many cautions in this race with all the accidents, its just thrilling

Those DPís sound savage, thankfully there are no silent cars in this field. The new DPís look quite nice; the Chevrolet DP in particular looks good.

I enjoy the track too, the challenge of braking from high speed into the infield whilst turning is great. Unlike the Indianapolis Road Course, the Daytona RD really utilises both the infield and oval.

yeah. daytona is a good track. one of the best endurance races. long side le mans and 12hours of sebring.

i like the DP's because there different to most prototypes and i do like that fact that its only 2 class in grand-am!

Yeah just having two classes is about right, itís very easy to understand and you couldnít mistake one car from a class to another. I like that Grand-Am has some unusual GT cars like the RX-8, Camaro and Mustang. The addition of GT3-style cars is great, but the GT field is unique with the existing cars it has.

The proximity of the cars in the last hours is amazing, last year the top six were covered by just 6 seconds in the last hour. The year before, the first two were racing hard for the win. Real racing in Grand-Am.

Starworks Riley-Ford won the pole: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/97190

A strong contender for the win seems to be the SunTrust Corvette, that car has been very fast in practice. Ganassi is only lurking around in third. I foresee a close race, these types of races can be unpredictable - but the entire DP field is only split by just over a second. I cannot wait for the cautions, the all new Porsche 991 will be the Pace Car - we need a caution just to see this car.

Not long until the start, I cannot wait for the show to begin. Hopefully there will be lots of feisty action and cautions.

Thanks for the link Paul, I'll be watching the race upstairs in late evening so the streaming will be great. Turner Motorsport has a great line up for their BMW M3's, they've managed to get BMW Motorsport factory drivers in their machinery. I think there might be streaming on justin tv, not sure if Speed TV's streaming will work outside USA?

The record was once 24 cautions, lets see if we can try and break the record!!!

Not sure if its live coverage, but Motors is showing ALMS too. I suspect if they are showing live Grand-Am then live ALMS would clash, but stillm its nice that ALMS will be on UK TV. Motors TV is going back to its early years of showing loads of quality motorsport.

Yeah the RX-8 just sounds sensational, the sheer revs of the thing contributes to that. There's been a lot of close racing, seeing the Porsche 997's draft each other is fun to watch.

No cautions yet, its very dissapointing - we need to spice up this show.
