Round 8 is here, will be off for race day tomorrow, weather forecast says rain in the morning, so probably gonna get a bit wet, hope it's not all day like Brands GP last year.

A few rules tweaks to help the NA cars against the turbos http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=2631&month=0&year=2011&form=&searchterm=

Honda have confirmed Neal and Shedden for 2012 http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=2639&month=0&year=2011&form=&searchterm=

Nice to see the Audi getting up front no as well. Soon we will have atleast 6 different makes of car battling for the win.

Yes, Plato and Neal being silly, but Plato doesnt really care, he can't realistically retain his title, so he'd rather Flash won it than his 'mate Matt.
Leaving in 1/2 hour, rain looks less likely now, according to forecasts.

That was a great first race, how good was it to see Frank Wrathall in the Toyota passing both factory Honda's. Okay, so he had zero ballast - but that was still great to see. I felt that Wrathall was a little too polite with Shedden though, the former followed Shedden for laps and made no pass - by that time Neal had caught them both.

Wrathall needed to use his front bumper to move Shedden out of the way and be done with it. Alex MacDowall was properly aggressive with Neate there, he rubbed against the Ford numerous times. That was appropriate in the in-field section - sadly that doesn't quite work at 130 mph.

Nick Foster had a great run there, although he should have dumped Neal out of the way at the end.

both Neate and MacDowall were fined and given points for their transgressions

Was a great day yesterday, some great action, even if my camera has acted up and didn't take many pix. Bloody Canon Angry

Was great to see Owy after his 2nd place in R1, he had a good day. Nick Foster was impressive, he's definately punched above his weight this year, wasnt expecting much from him at the beginning of the season, and he's a nice chap as well!
Still looks like either Rob Austin or Frank Wrathall will win a race before the end of the season, i can see TOCA putting more restraints on before Silverstone, or else Plato might as well not turn up for the last round.

I didn't understand why Plato got the same penalty as Neal, the latter threw a punch and Plato didn't. Anyway, what a shame that Plato's dad and a Honda team member broke the argument up. It should be like American hockey - the first who gets knocked down loses. That was a great show, BTCC should promote the rivarly to attract people.

Plato says it was a physical assult, yet no one touched anyone else, it was all playground stupidity.

They need to grow up.

It was nowt really but to be honest there isn't really a place for it in racing or anywhere, Matt Neal is a bit of a w@nker anyway

Keep getting error 20 coming up then telling me to switch on on off, or something to do with batteries, but off/on or changing batteries makes no difference, when i try to take a pic it comes up again. Will probably have to go back to be sorted (and relieved of lots of money, it's out of warranty)
