For the first time since 1998, IndyCar racing returns to flat, one mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the MoveThatBlock.com Indy 225. The race starts just before 9 pm on Sunday.

This is a great track, the shorter ovals are always more intense than the snoozers such as Texas.

Dario's been flying this weekend, comfortably won the pole. After that though, there isn't a Penske or Ganassi car until 6th position. Great laps by Servia, Kanaan and Hinchcliffe. It'll be interesting to see how many of these drivers from smaller teams can maintain their grid positions.

Yeah that's a shame for Pippa, she's never driven an IndyCar on a short oval - so she was battling an upward curve anyway. The race should be fun.

That has to be one of the best races so far this year, so much action.

I loved the racing in general, just proved what I've always known, that short ovals provide the intense racing you just don't see on bigger ovals. Witnessing Tomas Schekter going around the outside to pass so many cars was amazing.

There was another episode of Takuma Sato brain fade, the 200th episode. Even before the start/finish line for the restart, Sato thought it would be a good idea to make contact with Franchitti. Sato said he had something in his eye, nah, typical Sato brain fade. Nasty accident for Kanaan there, flipping over.

What a drive by James Hinchcliffe, yet again he proved his great talent. He has very little experience on ovals, but looked like a veteran out there today. The rate of cars being lapped was incredible, but some idiots like James Jakes wouldn't move out of the way. He kept on blocking in which ever direction the leaders went, I would have dumped him if I came up on a doofus like that.

That decision to start the race at the end was amazing, single seater cars are so reliant on tyre temperatures, which they cannot gain when the track is slippery. So many cars got destroyed on that restart, it was incredible to see. IndyCar looked like a shambles afterwards, race control knew they had screwed up - but made it worse by dithering over whether to restart the race or not. Also, as terrible as the decision to restart the race was, and how angry drivers were - it was ridiculous to determine the finishing order by the line-up before that final restart. How on earth can cars crash, thus changing the finishing order - only then for the order to be changed like the restart never happened?

Yeah, so Will Power crashed - that's his own tough crap. He shouldn't get back 5th place because he stamped his feet.

you enjoyed that?

it was boring start to finish just about. It was a shame for dario didn't finsih (dario came down taku came up slightly 50/50 even though taku said it was his fault it wasn't) but the race was a snoozer.

Absolutely, seeing Tomas Schekter passing all those cars around the outside was inspired, as were the Newman Hass drivers racing each other continuously racing each other was thrilling.

Couldn't agree more with this:
Quote :
Scott Dixon declared: ďRyan deserved to win but if we go by the usual rules, Oriol won and I finished second. This isnít a USAC dirt race, we donít revert back to the last lap, but I wonder why we even have a rule book? I donít know if Iím at a go-kart race or what because they make Ďem (rules) up as they go.Ē
