That's great news for Turkington, him and Adam Carroll have things in common. Both hugely talented without the race seats they deserve, and both Irish.

Sadly he won't make WTCC that much more interested, WTCC is the dullest form of racing at the moment. They may as well end the championship now, not only with Chevrolet's dominance, but the sheer snooziness of the racing. Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep Sleep

I'd rather do some knitting.

Was actually more entertaining when those Alfa 156's were in it all those years ago although back then it was European Touring cars, I used to like it then. But i'll be honest I did think about going down to Donington for the WTCC

WTCC progressively became less interesting as more car manufactures like Alfa Romeo pulled out, the banning of six cylinder engines and the snoozy dominance of tractor fuel. If all teams ran six cylinder motors than that would be cool, but a grid of four cylinder hair dryers is depressing.

Parallels between the Euro and WTCC can be drawn, they both worked brilliantly in theory - but have become disastrous in practice.
