After the carnage of Donington, we head to the UK's fastest track, hopefully with some better driving standards. Although the turbo cars have be slightly pegged back (all of 0.1bar) expect them to dominate, with the Vectra's looking good. Can the atmo cars get level in the races though? Will the turbo cars kill their tyres at this the hardest track on them?
Dave Newsham has parted company with Geoff Steel Racing, and is joining STR, but not until Oulton Park, so whether GSR will even be at Thruxton no one knows http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=2382&month=0&year=2008&form=&searchterm=
Back to watching on tv this weekend. It's definately odd sitting at home when i've been trackside so much.

Just think of the petrol money your saving Laughing

Will the turbos have that much of advantage anyway? You can normally see the difference between turbo and Non Turbos when exiting slow corners, But with Thruxton there is only really 2 Slowish corners on track, Exiting the last corner, and turn 2 the first right hander.

We have seen punctures in the past as well, So nothing is certain until the chequered flag.

great 6th place from TOC for the Golf. Plato must have driven the wheels off his Cruze to qualify 5th in amongst the turbos.

Much better behaved than Donington MacDowall/Collard incident aside. Not so much action though. Looks like if you don't have a turbo you might as well forget your season. Plato won the reverse grid race, but none of the other atmo cars came close, Owy and Collard should be top 10 and arent.
See how things get on at Oulton park in just over a month.

Was thinking that, too the turbo cars were always going to have an advantage there but we'll see how the N/A cars and Turbo ones compare when they get to Oulton think it'll be a lot closer

Oh I finally got to put my Chevvy coat on over weekend too, about time Laughing
