Well that is when the Group C's should come into there own. I saw them a few weeks ago at Brands, and Katsu Kubota was sharing his Nissan R90C with a young Japanese F3 racer, who I have to say made the rest of the field look very silly. No doubt you had a cracking time.

Had a great day, was very long as we didn't leave til 10pm, the Group C race didn't finish til just after 9, looked great with the sun not far off setting, but made photographing the cars difficult. Watched it from turn 3 in one of the newer grandstands. Great battle between the Jaguar XJR9 and the Nissan, but i agree with Deano about some of the drivers are a bit slow, it looks odd when C2 cars are overtaking C1's
Bought a Group C racing purple Jaguar t shirt and a Porsche 956 book, saw a couple of other books i didn't know existed including one about the IMSA GTP Mazda's, but that was 70!! Could have spent loads of money.
The event has grown much more since i last went in 2005, loads to look at in addition to the racing.

Glad to hear you had a great time, it is one of those events that I really want to go along to, but something else always seems to come up on that weekend. Perhaps I will have to make an effort for next year.

With regards to the Group C, when I was at Brands Andy Meyrick managed to put a C2 Spice second on the Grid, only around half a second off the pole position time set by a Nissan R90C. I do get the feeling that some of these cars are wasted on their current drivers, but they pay the bills, so I guess we should be grateful that they aren't just stuck away in a garage somewhere. Still would be nice to see these cars in some top drivers hands, as that would be something to see!
