It's that time of year again, WTCC head's of to the winding and tight streets of Macau this weekend for the finale.

Hopefully a wild Japanese or Chinese driver crashes into Yvan Muller in both races, Priaulx wins both races and becomes champion. Wink

Bad news then Sav, the BMW's have been disqualified from Okayama so Mulller is Champion. Tis a shame that they had to do it this way rather than on track, but i guess the FIA arent fussed about works BMW's when they're not likely to be in next year.

Don't know why it's taken so long for this info to emerge when the hearing was last Friday and the rumours have been out since then.

Lol, f*** WTCC then. No point in waking up to watch this championship disrespect BMW in this way. Both RBM BMW's passed all the inspection process's all weekend in Japan. And suddenly now the gearbox's were not allowed. If the sequential boxes were not allowed, then fine - but why were they passed in Japan?

I may watch the highlights at best. Hopefully all three Chevrolet's get taken out at turn 3 (the tight first turn).

BMW did decided to leave at the end of the year.

To be honest the rule was you can the sequential gear box but theres a 30kg penalty, for japan the rule wasn't applied and bmw were given a 30kg weight break.

Other teams had the right to propest, it's not there fault the fia can't tell the differnce between there arse and there elbow.

RML and Chevy are the only current manufacter hanging around for next year so it's hard to blame for wanting to win.

Oh don't get me wrong, I blame the FIA for this. They should have never allowed both BMW's to race if they were not homolgated. But from BMW's point of view, the regulators allowed their cars to race in Japan AND they passed the post-race inspections as well. So to have both cars excluded in a court room despite being passed in Japan, is absurd.

WTCC in 2011 won't be that great, only Chevrolet will have a major presence in the championship next season. More Muller and Tarquini domination - ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

The FIA have changed the BMW weights again for Macau, making it blatantly obvious they've got it in for BMW Motorsport, who have the audacity to announce leaving an FIA championship to go race in a rival series in 2012. Presumably BMW have said "nein" to doing WTCC in 2011, even if officially it hasnt been decided.
Of course it would be embarassing if Priaulx wins a seventh race with him already having scored most race wins this year....

It does give the indie BMW's a chance though...

it was stupid for the fia to dq then. letting the resault stand would have been a better idea

Well at least Priaulx is set for pole in race 2:http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/88409 Hopefully BMW can start race 2 on the front row, finish one-two and tell the FIA where to stuff their poxy championship.

At least Huffy won't have to defer to Muller, perhaps all 3 Chevrolet's will crash into each other at Lisboa!!!

That's like differentiating between a Proton and a Ssangyong.

That was a good battle with Farfus holding off first Huffy and then Muller, who made sure Farfus was losing his back bumper. Ok so they eventually got past. but Augusto did a good job defending from faster cars for a few laps.
Shame for Andy race 1 he was taken out at the first corner, but 22nd to 13th in a few corners in race 2 was either fantastic or lucky, and he just avoided the pile up behind.
Not sure what's up with Menu, no idea's whether it's a car problem or Menu problem not getting away from the front row, maybe Chevrolet have had second thoughts about keeping him for next year and gave him his P45. After all Giovanardi, Thompson, Tarquini are all available. Probably won't want another Brit in the team, but Menu has been a disappointment in the best (most developed) car on the grid this season.

I may catch up with the races at some point tomorrow it's all recorded.

In other WTCC-related news, Auto GP will join WTCC races from next season: http://www.touringcartimes.com/article.php?id=5571

Sadly Auto GP has been really disappointing from what I’ve seen, I watched the Monza race and it was terribly boring. I thought that ex-A1GP cars would have made for good action…apparently not.
