Yeah, it's unfortunate when the talented drivers fall by the wayside, but it's no different to any other motorsport in that respect.

No ideas whether we'll see guys like Adam Jones, Jonny Adam, Paul O'Neill, Steven Kane, Phil Glew etc in BTCC this year cos they all need backing to race.

Sunshine Integra's up for sale

http://www.touringcarspares.com/car_details.php?id=91

Have seen a rumour that they're getting the S2000 Civic's off Dynamics, possibly Honda don't want to lose O'Neill and are smoothing the sale?

If people are going to back drivers that are midfield in Clio cup then i'm sure drivers such as those you mention must be able to find funds to race I mean come on you'd rather back Steven Kane wouldn't you

Special Tuning rename their team and pick up new sponsor

http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=2236&month=0&year=2008&form=&searchterm=

Does that mean Pinkney is going there as Houseman was his sponsor for the last 2 seasons?

Rob Austin's Audi's will be RWD and a different engine tuner to the other VAG group cars.

http://www.touringcartimes.com/article.php?id=5731

Be interesting just as Alan Gow thought he'd got rid of RWD with NGTC

I'm surprised by that, as the road-going A4 is either FWD or RWD. Mind you, these NGTC rules are different from production cars.

In this article, it states that Toyota themselves will be funding engine development for Dynojet: http://www.touringcartimes.com/article.php?id=5737

Good news, but the current Avensis has mainly been invisible in the UK.

Good news about WSR using BMW's. So we will have at least three RWD cars in the championship, with that RWD Audi A4. Its encouraging news.

the red looks good, the yellow nose spoils it though.

Yes, Thats good news. Nice to have another local back in the BTCC. That makes Two now.

The grid for this year is really looking good. Lots of different car manufacturers, Which can only be a good thing. Hopefully it will entice more to follow suit.

Their will be a Proton entering the series later on in the year as well.

Geoff Steel Racing have bought the Motorbase BMW's

http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=2256&month=0&year=2008&form=&searchterm=

Wonder if Martyn Bell has managed to talk Chris Brown into putting sunshine.co.uk money into the team, he said he had a good night out with Chris the other week on facebook. Paul O'Neill in a BMW?

Well going from a Honda to a BMW is a massive step up. That's like going from Asda Smart Price to Gucci.

I'd still rather have that than designer rubbish with costs the same to make, isn't much better quality and costs you 98% more
