| New team entering in the NGTC Avensis

Tony Hughes didn't exactly set the G50 races alight, he's probably best known for crashing into Adrian Newey at Snetterton, but good luck to him. |

| Ford are aparently going to use the new ST for next season. Am not a big fan of the 2011 Focus but am sure it will grow on me. I bet their don't race in the 'Tangerine scream' colours next season. |

| It is surprising but good that Ford are building a global touring car that can be adapted to the new BTCC rules. Mind you, the new Focus looks foul.

| Yeah, someone should be using the Mondeo as NGTC car, perhaps Ford think the Focus can do as well with the same set of rules as the LPG Turbo did this year with it's straightline speed advantage. |

| I doubt this year's LPG engine will have such a straight-line speed advantage next year as it did this year. Mainly because if a lot of teams use the NGTC spec engines then they will also have that turbocharged punch and extra torque.

| someone's post from another forum
"Alan Gow has stated on the BTCC forum that they will allow BTC-spec cars to have one more year, but only if they competed this season and at +50kg base weight.
I'd imagine that's to help keep people like Martin Johnston and possibly Kaye, George, maybe even O'Neill on the grid if Techspeed can't get a new car. "
Not really sure that they need the weight penalty, apart from Paul, they're already at the back of the grid, probably Gow doesnt want to embarass the new entrants with NTGC cars |

| Translation: We have small grids so far for next year - so to boost them lets allow ancient cars to still compete to make it look full. |

Yeah, my thoughts as well, whether any of them take up the 'chance' i don't know, Martin Johnson is probably already carrying 50kg of success ballast over the young drivers in the championship.
In other news Boardman's team have announced 2 cars for next year, so i hope they have better luck thank this year, Tom frequently showed pace but the car seemed prone to damage in incidents.

-Complete NGTC cars -Full S2000 cars -Mixture of S2000 and NGTC -BTC cars
Right then...

| Ford's global touring car has been unveiled: http://www.touringcartimes.com/article.php?id=5544
This is a very good idea if it goes smoothly. BTCC will have an all-new model on the grid, and the car will be able to be adapted to other regulations around the world. |

| This is an extremely terrible decision by the team. BMW's new 1.6 litre turbo engine is going to be outstanding, and combined with the RWD of the 3-Series - it would have made quite a package. Ah, the Ford Focus. More lurching understeer, squirming under braking and excessive tyre wear - great stuff. |
