PostSubject: Auto GP - eh?   Mon Oct 04, 2010 9:54 am

There wasn't much motor racing on this afternoon so I decided to watch live Auto GP from Monza on Motors TV. I was surprised at how dull the racing was, I seem to remember that A1GP races with the same cars used to be entertaining with plenty of wheel-to-wheel racing. Considering its a spec, identical car championship - the racing was disappointing.

Not sure what the USP of Auto GP is either. A load of GP2/open wheel failures sniffing around with small grids with dull racing - hmmm, appealing. There is no X factor. Every racing series has got to have some sort of purpose.

In fact, I'm utterly bored of most spec single seater series now. There are too many junior categories to the point that its hard to know which ones to follow to witness tomorrow's talent for Formula 1 and other higher categories. GP2, Formula Ford and British F3 are the only junior series worth following.
