Thought I would start the race thread, I'm looking forward to this. Motors TV coverage starts when SPEED's coverage starts at 4 pm (11 am local).

Hoping for loads of caution periods. bounce bounce bounce

Yikes, those kerbs that the Audi ran over are killer. I'm surprised how the front end just ripped off though - a pretty fragile car.

I have to thank Audi for this caution. Laughing

Absolutely, all these cautions are awesome.

Great race so far, I'm watching the Speed onboard pass as Motors TV are now showing WRC until 22:20 pm ( Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad ). The Porsche Hybrid is really impressive, its eco-weeny but still sounds like a classic flat six.

Oh dear, this sounds like a Peugeot-style fuck up by Audi: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/87162

It was a truly great race, the level of overtaking was quite sensational. I'm going to say this again, LMS is okay - but for racing ALMS pisses all over LMS.

Maassen is my new favourite driver. He stopped on track to deliberately bring out the safety car Laughing - been taking lessons from Piquet Jr!!!
