I'm not sure an audi return would help much. But as long as it keeps gt2 hot then ok

it would help P1 battle adding an extra 1 or 2 cars and great for ALMS but GT2 is still the best. with new tracks on the calender should be good.

i would like there to be 2 or 3 p cars but i'd rather it was from a team like cytosport or dyson rather than a factory

If we look back at 2008. That season is bench mark for all series. I see what you mean.

The ALMS is the best series period. all class at the minute are great hopefully GTC's cars will extend but i was watching this.

Yes the guy sounds like a tossa but he said some interesting stuff.

The ALMS is a great championship, and providing they run petrol-powered cars in some sort of capacity (whether it be a hybrid-petrol or full petrol) them it will be worthwhile.

There is no point in trying to convince America about diesel. The USA market and all of the Asian markets are not interested in diesel passenger cars.

In 2008 it was mega, the battle between the factory Porsche RS Spyder's and the Audi R10 TDI was fascinating.

Rumour has it, it could be Highcroft, Wayne Taylor or champion running audi's next year

it could be r15 or r18

I think r15 is far more likely

I really hope that they run the R18, surley the whole advantage of running in the ALMS is so that they can test and develop a new car in race conditions.

Also, the US market likes petrol/hybrids - proven by the success of Toyota and Lexus hybrid's.

If the cars in private hands it'll be the r15+ i'm sure of that. If Audi company with Joset or Champion (Audi Sport North America) then it could be R18

It is sad for racing fans, but I understand Audiís decision. Also, Audi donít need to be represented in every round of ALMS Ė the USA is important for Audiís car sales but its Asia where Audi are experiencing explosive growth.

The Intercontinental Cup will visit important Asian markets this year and the calendar will probably have more Asian rounds in the future. A balanced world calendar is what I think Audi are interested in. It all comes down to their car sales and the USA isnít important enough to contest every ALMS round.

Also, Audi realistically know that if they contest the whole ALMS season there will be no serious competition whatsoever, except for Sebring and Petit Ė pointless. With the Continental Cup Audi at least know they will have Peugeot as a tough yardstick.
