New street circuits in Baltimore and Oklahoma City are set to join the American Le Mans Series calendar next year.

Series bosses are known to be in talks with the IRL over joining its event on the streets of Maryland's largest city, while officials in Oklahoma revealed back in March that they too were speaking to the ALMS.

This week's AUTOSPORT magazine reports that both venues are close to concluding deals to host the ALMS in 2011, with series boss Scott Atherton also confirming that dicussions had taken place.

Baltimore is expected to replace the tight, 1.5-mile Lime Rock Park as the event in the US north east - a key market for the series' manufacturers - following criticism of the Connecticut circuit.

Oklahoma would likely take the Indpendence Day weekend date at the beginning of July....http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/85853

ALMS races on street tracks are always good.

Fantastic, I love street circuits. Both races should be 2 hour 45 minutes to keep the show sharp and short, throw in some fake debris cautions to spice up the action - you have two great races.

well long beach is only 1hour 40minutes.

i really like Houston races in The Lone Star Grand Prix going from evening to night but the track wasn't as good. 2006 race was good with the r8, rs spyder,GT1's and GT2 was great.

Fantastic, 1 hour and 40 mins is even better - keep the show short and sharp for me. Some of the best racing in ALMS has been on street tracks, Long Beach was thrilling this year.

I do admit though, that without live TV coverage I watch ALMS far less then I used to. Its a shame that Motors TV cannot get hold of live coverage anymore.

Well its on the net. on like justin tv. I saw all of salt lake city race there.

Mid ohio is live on ALMS.com this weekend with quali and the full race because speed aren't showing.

Plus listening to radio le mans is better than some coverage. I know people don't like listening to racing but belive radio le mans is best, i have 268 podcast from them 19.5days and 23.41GB and l listen to it most days when i am at college everyday.

Mosport Promoter Test podcast is one of my favourite two hours they are pug into the tv you great on board sounds and great with fiona miller from risi.........a little RLM plug there Laughing

Every series needs some mild tweaking to spice up the show. Its okay, nobody complains about the half time break in football.
