Right i know that some of us were thinking of doing Le Mans next year.

Who really would be interested in doing it?

Are you guys ok if i organise it if it is possible?

Any ideas of how long you wanna be out there?

How do you want to get there?

Want as much time as possible to organise everything, and give each other a an idea of cost.

I'd like to see this in practice, the theory of equalisation between petrol and diesel seems to be solved every year with no change.

there is the budget issue as well to consider.

a factory car is likely to beat a privateer on.

It is on my to do list, along with a few other major motor racing events. Would be good if a few of us could go. As you have done this before could you give my a rough estimate at how much it costs with everything included.

Also do you camp or is thier a hotel?

Hey Steven

The last time we did it it cost us about £220 each from Wednesday to Monday. That is all in as well. General Admission tickets, Pit Lane Grandstand tickets. Camping for the whole weekend. Diesel et all!

You can do various ways i have gone by coach (never again) I have flown, train and then hire car, and then driven all the way (mucho fun) do not go through Paris!!! even the motorway system is affraid crashing

I can certainly do some research for those that want to, sadly i am not gonna make it this year. I have smaller but more lavish fish to fry!

I don’t recall saying I have anything against women – women are absolutely fantastic. However, I hold the opinion that the vast majority of female racing drivers are there for their appearance, the publicity they generate, and, they coincide with the politically correct world that exists – with the desire for gender equality for women – even if they are shit.

Drivers like Michele Mouton from WRC was a proper racer, winning rallies and beating the competition regularly – nobody talked about her gender because her talent was so great. It’s a similar story with Simona de Silvestro in IndyCar, she isn’t a marketing machine with a load of phony publicity – she’s just a normal racer who can be a regular podium contender. Drivers who are there on merit earn my respect, those who are there for marketing and publicity don’t – that includes male drivers too. But sadly, most women drivers wouldn’t be racing if it wasn’t for their gender.

Yes it is sad news when a competitive car with drawers
BUT !!!
Le Mans 24 Hours organiser the Automobile Club de l'Ouest has confirmed that the Kronos Racing Lola-Aston Martin will take the grid slot left vacant by Highcroft's withdrawal.

Double American Le Mans Series champion team Highcroft announced on Monday that it was having to pull its LMP1 HPD from the 24-hour race due to funding issues and the end of its long relationship with Honda.

The Kronos car had been first reserve and therefore now moves up into the field, as the former World Rally champion team and current Intercontinental Rally Challenge Peugeot squad returns to circuit and endurance racing.

Kronos will have an all-Belgian line-up, with GT1 World Championship regulars Vanina Ickx, Maxime Martin and Bas Leinders sharing driving duties.
