Wonder if a top team will develop an F-Duct, the dorsal fin is effective in F1 but the F-duct is the ultimate drag shedding device. It is a safety advice, but the straight line speed advantages will be of great interest to the teams (assuming that the fin won't be a standard part).

Are driver influenced aerodynamics allowed at Le Mans?

histroy is the wrong way around. F1 adopt group c stye fins.

Kremer Ck5 and gebhardt just 2 off the top of my head

both had fins 15 year before f1 though of it. Just more proof that autosport knows nothing.

'Knows nothing', really? Wink

In their defence, they never made a reference about who invented fins - they said that LMP1 cars would have F1-style fins - quite a difference from arguing about who invented the original concept. Style, in terms of visual looks - the fins on modern F1 cars look a lot different to what sportscars had previously.

Quite true Cerca. It does make me laugh Autosport sometimes. Why don't you apply to be editor-in-cheif and clear up all mistakes. Laughing Laughing

Autosport make very few mistakes, from what I read on their website and their magazine. If we are to start nit-picking about every mistake that they have ever made, then we can equally do that about every other publication or website.
