Not sure that I will buy it, as GT5 has all the top spec WRC machinery and more.

So will this, it has the official WRC license

I'll be buying it, would be good if they did a sort of legends like on SBX X

That is very true, but my point was, was that if you can buy a game with WRC cars with hundreds of other cars - then a game with only WRC cars seems a tad pointless. Especially considering that WRC really only has two models of car - it will be a pretty bare game on that front.

Laughing Knew you would, being an avid rallying fan. I may get the official WRC game too, I was just doubting its USP. If the rallying mode in GT5 isn't very good, then I will considering the WRC game.

Demo is up. Have to say am very impressed with this. I know it's just the demo but it plays really well. I stuck it on hardest settings and boy is it hard. After a few goes and getting used to the stage (You get 2 on the demo) I still could get know where near the leaders. 1 little mistake and it costs you dearly.

Most important question is how does it compare to Richard Burns Rally?

Well it may not have the depth of RBR and it may be a little off with Sounds/gameplay etc, But to me the only thing which seems to let WRC down at the minute is the wide tracks. With Richard Burns you had to be 100% precise otherwise you will clip the grass and roll etc. But with WRC the tracks are a little wider allowing more chance to get it wrong. But not by much.

Demo version I will give 8/10

What I'll do with the official WRC game is wait until Gran Turismo 5 comes out. The latter will have all of the current WRC cars and other rally cars, if I like the rally mode then I won't need to get WRC. If the rally mode is poor then I'll get WRC.

Have you not seen the Rally mode in GT5. It's not really a rally anyway. It's two cars on the same bit of track. Correct me if am wrong but i've never seen a WRC event run two cars on track at the same time (Not including those special stages of course, for those cheeky beggers)

Oh and then you get the usual rally cars on a street circuit race. With 8 cars on the same track. Hmmmm Sleep

I know i have said this before, but someone needs to release a rally game with the option to do a FULL rally, 20 to 25 stages, all full length, like 10 minutes a stage, none of these 2 or 3 minute 'stages'

I've always thought that too, right from the first rally game I played (Colin McRae Rally) to the latest rallying games the stages are not more then 2 minutes long.

I didn't know that GT5 had two cars on stage at the same time. That's actually quite appealing because you can actually race someone else for real - not just against the stopwatch.

Was playing this last night, also very impressed. Put it on the hardest setting, and like Ste says, its damn hard to even keep pace with the leaders, let alone take time out of them. Has really good damage too, and the inside view is fun to use. Also, very happy to see the game is going to have PWRC, SWRC and JWRC on it Cool

I tried WRC online last night. I loved it.

You get to see everyone on track at the same time but the other cars are ghosts, So you can see who is were but you don't have to worry about crashing into them or having to slow down etc etc. I entered into a championship straight away and I finished 3rd out of 7 people even though I missed the 1st stage.

Then I did Four stages against another competitor and we were pretty much equal all the way through. I won the first 2 stages and he won the last 2.

Moving up the online ranking system is quite hard. Certainly will take quite a while to get the top achievements for it.

Now is a good time for WRC to be launched, because GT5 might not even come out this year.

I thought the WRC PS2 games were horrifying, the cars were bouncy and the cars felt like milk floats they were so light.
