De Puniet, class, best looking bike too Cool Rossi seems to always lose his time on the last sector.

Bautista another great performance, although i must admit to saying he was going to crash in the last 10 minutes Laughing

Steven85, hope you right mate! Cool

When does Bautista not crash crashing Laughing

The Suzuki's do look better with the darker colour Blue. Premac Dukes look very smart as well, But may not look as good in daylight.

RDP does have the best bike again this year.

Nope, Because that would mean the end of Superbikes. I would rather Moto GP dissolve then WSBK.

It would be like getting rid of the prototypes in Endurance racing.

the key word is race engine. A sort of 990cc prototype engine but with moto2 chassis rules.

We had a 990 prototypes but their switched to 800's. Laughing I like the idea so long as we get different engine manufactorers. Which I think Moto2 should switch to in a couple of years instead of just being Honda.

agree

the 800's were a bad move, i remember vermulen saying something like he'd rather have 1400cc than 800. The smaller engine has been a detrement to the non 'aliens'.

125 and moto2 were both great races. i think moto2 will outshine motogp this season.

Cant belive Stoner threw that away. great results for Dovi, Nicky and Spies. Watch Stoner bounce back in Japan

The Reason Stoner crashed was because he backed off Laughing

http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/158653/1/stoner_apologises_for_qatar_crash.html

He lost the front end a few times once he hit the front, so he tried riding smoother which sent him to crash.

I was affraid when Stoner dropped it, when I saw a Ducati in the gravel I initially thought it must be Hayden. Laughing

Entertaining race though, the battle for second, third and fourth was very close. Is the grid a tad bare? Only 17 bikes on the grid, considering how popular Moto GP - I thought that there would be more riders/teams.

The size of the grid has dropped every year since the 500cc days. You would be suprised just how much running a Moto GP team costs.

We have had new teams come and go, But new rules and changes price them out. Their is a new team called FB Course wanting to join but so far they haven't had the bike ready and need to complete a proper full race simulation test in order to compete.

The last I heard their were going to start from the European rounds starting at Jerez but that was months ago so I don't know if they are just giving up on this season.

We lost Kawasaki due to the recession, and I very much doubt any other manufactorers have the budget to race, So it's a lot cheaper to do wsbk. Hopefully with the change of engine size again next year we might start seeing more teams again which can only be a good thing.

Just remember though 17 bikes take up alot less room then 17 cars, so a 17 car grid still looks quite big.

Oh of course, 17 cars looks better then 17 due to the size difference. But it appears to be a development race between Yamaha, Honda and Ducati. The racing is still decent though.

Did anybody notice what the medical car race at the start, a BMW M6. I obviously approve. Wink Laughing

I don't mind MITO's, but when you have access to cars with 5.0 V10's with over 500 bhp - there is no contest. Rossi got a free M3 Saloon for winning that thing in Valencia before the season starts as well lucky bugger.

Kinda, they had 2 awards last season.

GP0, the offical pre season test which had a 60 min quallifying session in the middle, the winner won a 1 series, the super dooper one 135 is it?

Then the person who quallifys in the least combined time for all the races wins the M6
