Here we go again......... let the carnage begin!

After athrilling finish to last season at Brands the BTCC gets underway in 2010 at Thruxton this weekend. After a quiet winter the teams have all finalised driver and sponser deals and will head to the fastest track in the UK this easter weekend.

As ever it's live on ITV4 from 11am on Sunday

Well it all starts here, will be at all 10 rounds finances permitting, have seen the weather isnt supposed to be good, so gonna be getting wet i guess.
I shall be cheering Paul O'Neill and Phil Glew (amongst others, no doubt) as Martyn Bell is having this year off with injuries.
How far will race 1 get before Plato and Neal hit each other???

an idea for a btcc fantasy league, i'm not planning on running anything this year but while i'm thinking it i want to post it.

for each weekend i post 5 drivers, each player would pick one of the 5 and then averaged over the 3 races of the weekend. With the lowest average finish getting 8 points, then 5, 3, 2 and 1.

I would try and pick 5 fairly even drivers for each meeting to try and ensure that it was competitive.

Plato and Neal could be like 2006 all over again , except that Matt hasnt got his Integra tank this time, the Civic is a lot more fragile

I'm thinking off the grid they'll be banging doors, although that Chevvy looks a very heavy car so Neal won't stand a chance when Plato drives into him Laughing

Fantastic news. 1 of the best drivers i've been able to see in BTCC.

It is just a shame that we don't have Turkington as well. Although just because he is going to miss the first round doesn't mean he can't scrape something together and enter at the next meeting.

Pim Tuens and his mate Mark should be there.

If anybody goes and sees them send my regards - apologies for the weather in Weston-super-Mare on Tuesday, wasn't the best :-)

Great to see Fabrizio has managed to stay in the series. He is a class act and one of the best touring car drivers out there.

From what i've read its only this weekend at the moment, but obviously hoping to 'do a Plato' and get enough dosh to do the full season. Fantastic that he's back, only better news we could have now is arriving at Thruxton tomorrow morning and finding a BMW with #1 on the door as well.

There are some teams/drivers worthy of note, but its a disappointing grid overall.
