It looks amazing so far, the carrer mode should be epic, would have been nice if they had put GP2 on there as a feeder series but i guess we cant have everything

Does this game feature safety car periods? This is absolutely essential.

The final game is going to look great with HD, I hope Codemasters make this a more focused game then some of their recent driving games. If its in no mans land like GRID was, then I'll be disappointed.

i think it would be a bit hard to implement, of course the AI cars will crash etc but depending where on the track etc will need a lot of variables on how to decide when a safety cars comes out, maybe if there is a three car or more crash they could have it come out hmmm

Dirt 2 was the last codemasters racing game and that was brilliant, they are using the same engine for F1 Very Happy

yeah can do, maybe be able to get some peeps from other sites, also we can have a GT5 league or something, the only reason i'm getting it on 360 is because i don't really like the PS controller & also GT5 is on the PS.

Brilliant price, even the usually competitive play.com lists it at 39.99. I might go to my local Costco and buy it with that sort of saving.

Those crashes look extremely dangerous, I think safety car periods are needed in each one. Somebody could be killed without the safety car.

I don't like the look of that damage, if I'm honest. The way the winglets and small aero details fall of the cars is impressive. But in none of those crashes did the suspension arms get damaged without the wheels falling off. In one clip, the Virgin crashes into the Monaco barriers and the suspension arms would have almost certainly have bent, but no, instead only the front wing came off. It seems as if the winglets or wings either fall off or the wheels fall off - with nothing in between.

Asda are selling it for 34.47, a good price and seeing as Asda is closer I'll buy it from there.

I was reading a review of the game on F1 Fanatic, and you can feel the grip difference in the different Bridgestone tyre compounds - previous F1 games didn't have that at all from memory.

I guess everybody has been too busy playing this to pass comment on it. Laughing

I would like to talk about the gameplay but I just have to point out first, How terribly buggy the game is. How have Codemasters been allowed to release it, and it makes it worse knowing Anthony Davidson has been testing it for ages. Surely he must have picked up on these problems.

First off is the pitlane Bug, After making a pitstop your Lollipop man won't let you exit the pits until every other car has left the pit lane. Which totally ruins your chances.
I had qualified on Pole and was in 6th when I had to pit, I ended up last and made my way back to 16th across the finish. I've been playing it on Hard with everything turned off but I still managed to get pole in my first race.

There is quite a few other bugs on it as well, Like Sector times not showing up etc. I do think it's still a great game though, Just getting that balance right of getting the corner spot on or spinning out is great and tests you on each corner.

Have to say Melbourne is a great track to drive on it, Everything just flows together. It's also been my first chance to drive places like Singapore and the Yas marina track. The Yas Marina track is one of my favourites, Once everything is hooked up it's great fun, Espcially the first few corners where you sweep left and the quick right down into the chicane. Can't believe am going to say this though, Am actually already sick of your crew chief who sounds a lot like Geordie actor Robson Green.

Yea its a good game, only done the 1st two races of the career so far but already got 10 points in the Lotus Laughing Got it on hard with everything off aswell. Some drivers are absolute bastards to try and overtake, mainly Massa and Kubica, had some epic fun trying to get past Massa at Melbourne.

I got held in the pits for ages aswell, but i just thought it was down to that new rule where you cant be released if a car is a certain distance behind you
