That looks brilliant, it seems that almost every sportscar maker is making cars for FIA GT3 now. BMW have introduced a new Z4 GT3 into the category too, could be quite a class.

Great to see the three pointed star represented in GT racing.

I do think GT2 and GT3 is the way forward now, GT1 are going away and should be put in as part of history.

Cheers for posting that mate, it sounds awesome. That AMG unit sounds sensational, obviously I'll be supporting this SLS and the Z4 GT3. Very Happy

The car mades it debut in a vln race driven by Bernd Schneider who then wrecked it at turn 2 on the first lap. They managed to get it back out and it finished 89th out of 211 starters. The rcae ended at 3 hour becuase of other accidents and was won by a Manthey Porsche driven by Richard Westbrook and Lucas Luhr.

How many safety car periods were there? This is the most important question in determining a great race.

The Mercedes SLS road car is spectacular, the FIA GT3 car must be drool-ish.

I haven't looked, I haven't check. But the asnwer will always be none. VLN don't use safety cars. They do however have things like audi rs6's which are faster than some cars in the race. So they send them out as snatch cars, to recover cars quickly.

I've seen some of the race footage on youtube. Some of it was comical. Must have been oil spilt on part of the circuit as about 20 cars skidded off. Laughing and others trying to take avoiding action.

The Merc looks nice but looks like it may be like a boat to drive, Although it musn't handle like one if it passed all those cars.

Fantastic, any sort of safety vehicle is good news. Especially the RS6. Cool

Certainly these GT3-spec cars look more user-friendly then other racing cars, Brundle was able to brake late and get back onto the throttle pretty early even on the first lap - that's like road car flexibility.

gt3 is getting out of control expensive. It's cheaper to do gt2 or lmp2 than gt3 at the moment.

You say GT3 is expensive but there is alot cars do the series, FIA GT3, ADAC. They must something about it that it is good to spend alot off money on it.

they sort of were, even from day one the cars cost more than an lmp2 car. the problem now is every manufacter is making very expensive updated almost constantly.

theres 4 different f430's maybe 5, 3 different porsches (cup, cup s and cup r) , then audi turned up with a faster car, morgan turn up with a faster car.

gt3 cars gets almost as updated as f1 cars do, sort of 6 to 1, the updated are coming that quick. where even the audi and peugeot have maybe 2 update a year.

i like GT3 more than GT1 really, The corvette this in GT3 was the class of the field won most of the races.

If you look at races they have good zolder was good event but they is alot of amateur driver and the Marc VDS team were rob of win because of a driver in the united autosports audi r8 tried to get his lap back and hit the ford gt of the track.
