Until I read that site, I hadn't realised that the "old" A1GP cars (ie. the ones we saw at Brands) are now being used (with modified front wing etc.) in AutoGP.

http://www.autogp.org/en/

Wikipedia and the AutoGP website confirm this - how did we miss it?

AutoGP:
Quote :
The Auto GP car: the Lola B05/52, powered by a 550 bhp V8, 3.4 litres engine.

Wikipedia (re. A1GP)
Quote :
The engine for the cars was developed by Zytek Engineering. The 3.4-litre V8 unit is capable of delivering 520 bhp (550 bhp in powerboost mode).
Quote :
The Lola B05/52[3] was the spec car used the by the series from the 200506 season to the 200708 season

Right, I'm off to Brands Hatch on 19th September methinks to watch those cars race again... anyone care to join me?

Good to see those cars racing again. You can call them what you like, but they looked unique, sounded unique and created brilliant racing. Everything the Ferrari car wasn't, well, it did sound good I suppose.
