this was ecpected i think, and if seat do the same. Then that means no seat train and some of the tdi advantage is gone. Maybe we will have a proper world championship fight again?

Good decision by BMW, Priaulx and Farfus are BMW's strongest performing WTCC drivers. And Jorg and neither Italy-Spain drivers never really featured.

It should indeed be a fairer championship next year, with no army of Seat's to break the rules and behave how they want to. Hopefully the privateer BMW's gang up on the Seat's. Razz WTCC will still be a farce though, with the rules changing every race. Rolling Eyes

Monza returns as Italian round

http://www.touringcartimes.com/news.php?id=4274

Is that to try and keep SEAT Sport interested enough as TDI's pretty much guaranteed a win.

Hmm, well both circuits heavilt favour Seat. But, Monza does have a number of chicanes which require fast direction change, and that is where the BMW's excel. With Imola, its all about the Seat's - totally and utterly.

imola has the same number of chicanes as monza and if anything is more front wheel drive freindly han diesel friendly.

But Imola has those hills that heavily favour TDI, the Seat's don't like quick direction change. Hence why you can hear the front tyres squealing, because it is nose-heavy.

Monterio hopes to remain with Seat: http://www.touringcartimes.com/news.php?id=4292

Well with only two cars, maybe Repsol are not sponsoring Seat anymore in WTCC? They do have a habit of dropping out, then sponsoring Seat again. If Repsol leave, then Monterio may have a chance...but if not, then I say no.

Well I will be getting a Brands Season Pass so I will be there, usually a great weekend's racing along with a good supporting bill too.

Seriously considering one of these. What is the difference between the 225 Brands one and the 185 Brands one. Does the 225 one cover bikes as well. It does not list bikes, it just lists the same as the 185.

Just checked, and you're right, that is the only difference. If I were attending loads of Brands meetings, I'd definitely be tempted to get that.

I am very tempted but for 185 i can only see spending the following:

BTCC (GP) - 24
WTCC - 24
Superleague - 24
DTM - 25
BTCC (indy) - 24

But then i suppose British F3/GT and the usual will be there too, seems highly likely i will get one

Sunred, Seat's semi-factory team could run four cars, including Tarquini: http://www.touringcartimes.com/news.php?id=4353

I suppose the more cars on the grid, the better. And it be a shame that the current WTCC doesn't end up with a drive. But I would have preferred it if Seat TDI disappeared completely. Well hopefully at least they won't have much authority if they want the rules changing so TDI has a massive advantage - not being a works team.
