I'd love to say that looks gorgeous, but it doesn't. It looks like a MK3 Toyota MR2 from the front, and a Lexus LF-A from the back. Yuk.

It better have a big, bad fire breathing petrol motor to make up for it.

i would of though it'll be a petrol engine, but don't expect 7000 litre quad turbo's. It's most likely to be a restricted version of the 430 engine or similar.

Or the 458 Italia's new 4.5 litre V8. Ferrari are class, rev's until 9,000 rpm. Cool Cool Cool

Rear end has a touch of Lotus Elise IMO though there is a overall '60s feel about the car which, I guess, was the general idea.

As the 430 is the backbone of GT2 racing and the 458 is it's replacement I don't think you'll have very long to wait Idea

Hmm, the 458 Italia. The best looking entry level mid-engined sportscar from Ferrari since the F355. Visually, the side profile in particular looks dramatic and truly Italian. All of it looks amazing. The 360 and F430 looked a bit poor to me, especially the F430, with that Peugeot-style gaping mouth.

Check it on the track, in the hands of one very talented journalist: http://www.evo.co.uk/videos/planetevovideos/244549/ferrari_458_track.html

http://www.evo.co.uk/videos/planetevovideos/244516/ferrari_458_road.html

Respect to Ferrari, they have managed to get more power and revs from its 4.5 litre V8 then the most powerful Gallardo, and that has a 5.2 V10. Good to see that Ferrari still appreciates howling, NA cars. Also, it has a lot of relevant F1-derived technology.
