Aston could join ALMS with Fernandez

Quote :
Adrian Fernandez is closing on a deal to race a works-run Aston Martin Racing LMP1 coupe in a short programme of American Le Mans Series races, this week's AUTOSPORT magazine reveals.

The 44-year-old Mexican, who had to close his eponymous team after taking the ALMS LMP2 title last year, has confirmed that he is working on a plan for 2010. His Aston programme would likely encompass the blue riband ALMS races at Sebring, Long Beach and Road Atlanta's Petit Le Mans, as well as the Le Mans 24 Hours. http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/81041

This is good news. Be great for an Aston martin in the ALMS

this was on the alms web site but was removed.

There is a problem here. Fernandez had no money to race so sold the acura to strakka racing. So where did he find 1.2 million to buy a p1 aston?

It's a shame that car is completely aco illegal. It's going to need a massive amount of reengineering to pass tech.

I hate the swan neck wing on that car.

I believe it's based on the apex gt3 car.
