Not good for Colin at all.

Todays Autosport reports that RML are to run two Cruze's under the Chevrolet UK banner, one for Jason Plato after a deal for him and Volvo fell through. Jackson or maybe Turkington to get that seat??

More on the story here

he's tested with motorbase over the winter aswell. Dave Bartrum has say they have a new title sponser after airwaves pulled the plug and 2 drivers to annouce this week. all coming together now it seems, still no jackson and turkington which is worrying

Would be great for Motorbase if they could get Turks and Jackson. No one has mentioned Jonny Adam, i thought he did pretty well last year, but i guess he has no money either.

Be great for Phil Glew if he had enough dosh to get 888 to run him. Surprised to see Dean Smith in the car, but maybe he is struggling for money for the next level of single seaters, but can raise enough for a season in BTCC

When I saw the title of the article on Autosport's site, it just said 'Hamilton'. You can guess which Hamilton I was thinking off... Wink

Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Not in that way! Wink Razz

I agree though, the lack of entries is alarming. I really hope loads of teams just suddenly enter. But its very disappointing not to have the top drivers with drives at the moment.

Just shows how difficult it is to get money together. We'll know more in 10 days at the media day.

TD Civic spotted in new livery

http://www.touringcartimes.com/article.php?id=4520

looks like we may well have Chevy and Honda as quasi works teams this year. Tis funny i don't ever remember TD running Vauxhall's as the article suggests.

I've always thought that Dynamics were always a semi-works team, the Integra was so well developed, and Dynamics were the first team in the world to run an S2000-spec new shape Civic. You don't do that without factory support.

they do seem quite good at building cars though.

and it is possible for a small company to make a road car into a racer.

you strip it of everything down to the chassi and only put back better parts a roll cage and the stereo. One of those is a red herring.

It is possible, but Dynamics don't appear to be a particularly wealthy privateer on their own. The Civic was competitive almost straight away, I would be surprised if this didn't involve a lot of technical assistance and financial assistance from Honda themselves. Its possible I suppose but unlikely.

Today is media day, so hopefully we may get some other good news, otherwise Plato is pretty much an easy favourite for the title, although it may set up more Plato/Neal clashes if the Civic is good enough!

Motorbase announce Jackson and Kane

http://www.btcc.net/html/generalnews_detail.php?id=1850&month=0&year=2008&form=&searchterm=

Good to see Mat back in a Beemer and good to see Kane back

23 cars entered
http://www.btcc.net/html/drivers.php

although only TBA from 888, does look like they are gonna field their Vectra's
