Well I'm sure that they have got there reasons for what they are doing, but surely this will put more strain on the clutches in the long run, which has to be a bad thing surely.

Alan Gow said that its an 'issue', I'm not so sure. Like cerca, I don't like this sort of meddling. I like seeing the strengths and weaknesses of FWD and RWD. FWD cars in most races, have the advantage. FWD has dominated BTCC for years, is it really that bad that the BMW has a slight start advantage?

In BTCC, drivers can overtake easier then in other series, so its not like that the BMW's just shoot off into the distance. In fact, why have they done this? Did many fans actually complain about the RWD start advantage?

there is actually a bigger problem with this. At Konckhill for instance thw RWD cars are at a massive disadvantage, because they can get the power down coming off the curbs like the FWD can.

THis is going to make a bmw very uncompetative. I think Gow wants rid of RWD in favour of all FWD nascar style championship, a or of FWD stock cars.

True, the FWD cars seem to clip the kerbs at Knockhill more and more each year. And RWD cars simply cannot do that. I find this decision surprising, because FWD even this year, has won the most races. And this year was the first time that a RWD car won the title since E36 BMW's - so I don't see what the issue is.
