PostSubject: None - racing games   Tue Sep 22, 2009 8:04 am

The thread for all games talk which isn't motorsport related.

So anyone tried the new footy games this year?

I have to say PES is winner hands down this year. It is so much better then Fifa (Thank god). Pro Evo has had a bad couple of years but it's now back at the top of the league.

Even the replays are excellent. Can sit and watch them all day.

Well I like it anyway, Would never buy Fifa.

I have been playing the new Fifa a fair bit since the demo was released and i think its so class, dead fluid with the movement and the passing is so good Very Happy

Bought IL2 Sturmovik the other day (Instead of Shift, couldnt be bothered), a WW2 flying game, which is mint, would definately recommend it, great graphics and gameplay (Although i only have it on arcade, realistic is too hard, the plane's stall too much Laughing )

Yep I played the demo of that IL2 Sturmovik game before my xbox packed in. I was impressed with it but I find flight sims a bit hard. I always seem to crash. I may give it another go and will get the hang of it.

Yea i am normally pretty dire at them but its sound on arcade, just dont put it on realistic or simulation, then its far too hard Laughing

wii sports resort does look good, must spend money on it.

i'm a sit on the fence kind of person where fifa vs pro evo stands. I have been a pro evo buyer for a couple of years now, but when i buy the next one it'll be fifa.

i got wii sports resort the day it came out & its fantastic fight

i think FIFA is better than PES again this year, FIFA 09 was a big step forward & FIFA 10 builds on it & PES is still playing catch up, before FIFA 09 i was PES.

i've not being playing a new game, i've been playing an old game. Command and conquer red alert 2 (after discovering to my horror that it no longer worked on xp) i eventually tried it on vista and much to my shock it works, much fun blowing stuff up. I wonder if the yuri's revenge will work too...

I used to have some good times on red alert 2 as well. Cool

As those who may know, I wasn't a big fan of Sony, But I got a PS3 anyway. There is one game which has made me very glad to have gotten one.

You can forget you Metal gear solid exclusive, You can forget your Killzone exclusive, You can forget your Gran Turismo exclusive. The game which is finally going to explain the reason of owning a PS3 is simple---

Uncharted 2

What a fantastic game. Been playing the Multiplayer beta with a mate online tonight. I haven't enjoyed a game like this for a long while.

Those with a PS3 need to get this game.

Anyone got Uncharted 2 yet?

I completed it last night. One of the best games I've ever played. It was better then watching a movie.

You won't regret it Smith.

I won't say too much but the bit when you reach the top of the hotel is funny- If you do it correctly.

I've started it again to try and get more treasures and trophies.

I am there as well. I completed it the other day but just need to play it again as it's so good. Trying to collect the treasures I missed first time around.

Again a message to those with a PS3 and haven't got this game? WHY NOT!!! lol! It's quality.

Anyone tried the Just cause 2 demo yet?

It's never going to be the biggest selling game of all time but I quite liked it, Great fun setting off the gas canisters which then fly around near you then explode, A bit like a stray firework Laughing

The map seems pretty huge as well, But your just limited to a small bit for the demo.
