For all of its poor reliability I will keep choosing the 360 over the Wii and the PS3.

I still think its a better console, when it works lol! My mate is testing it with his at the mo, He has had it switched on since the 3rd Feb and never turned it off since and it's still going strong. Dread to think what the leccy bill will be though.

This is the way I sum up consoles.

Xbox = Alfa - Great, but always prone to breaking down, A mans console.

PS3 = Volvo - Reliable but a bit boring,

Wii = Kia - Trys to be something it's not, Boring and mostly for young and old people. Nothing going for it.

oh its gonna be great bounce sort of GTA Wild West

just look at that, if that is in game its gonna be WTF i just hope there is going to be some sort of Gunfight at the OK Coral mission !

also if you pre-order you can get some nice extra stuff

Quote :
Rockstar's announced a varitety of pre-order bonuses for Red Dead Redemption, including a special horse.

The free goodies and their relevant retailers are (in Rockstar's words):

The Deadly Assassin Outfit - Game
John Marston's "Deadly Assassin" outfit causes your Dead Eye meter to regenerate at twice the speed. With more Dead Eye, you have more time to place each shot with total accuracy, making you the deadliest gunslinger in any fight. In the UK The Deadly Assassin Outfit is exclusive to GAME customers.

The Golden Guns Weapon Pack - Amazon UK
The player who wields the exclusive Golden Guns receives more Fame for each kill. The more Fame you get, the more in-game side missions become available. So there will be more opportunities to duel, more kidnapped townsfolk to rescue and you can bribe lawmen for less. In the UK The Golden Guns Weapon Pack is exclusive to Amazon customers.

The War Horse - HMV
There are countless horses to be found in the massive world of Red Dead Redemption, but none is stronger, faster or tougher than the exclusive War Horse. Whether storming gang hideouts, exploring the wilderness for hidden treasure, or outrunning the law, the War Horse gives gunslingers an advantage in nearly every situation. The War Horse is exclusive to HMV pre-orders in the UK.

Those who pre-order at Zavvi will receive an "exclusive" Brady Games mini guide, Rockstar adds.

From what I've heard the Arcade ones are meant to have slightly better reliability then previous discontinued xboxs.

Not sure I believe it though. It will still break down one day.

Mad F***ING HELL

my xbox just got RRD ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

i turned it on to download the new Forza3 DLC, left it running whilst i watched Horizon & Mock the Week, i then changed the channel on the TV to the AV one opened the disc tray on the xbox & put in the Foraz3 disc, then the joypad started flashing & then the three red lights on the console started flashing Mad

i have checked online & my console is still under warranty, but for some reason the button to request repair isn't click-able, so i'm going to have to leave it & phone them up tomorrow evening Mad

Thats a bugger Al, I was going to send mine off when it got 3 red rings last year but I decided to just buy a new one instead.

Hope you can get it sorted soon. I think you may be keeping hold of that PS3 a bit longer now Laughing

just got of the phone with them now, they are going to service it (i am going to make the console in a place where only i will know, to see if i get mine back or a different one, as some get their old one back & others don't Suspect )

they have transferred my warranty over to my other email (so it should show up there now)

i have to print out some labels that are going to email me with & then put it in a plain box & get UPS to pick it up, all the postage is free & they will extend my xbox live (3 months i think he said) the warranty still runs out in march 2011 though Suspect

just a quick question though, i have read that when i get the console back i have to mess about with the DLC, what happened with yours ?

Important Information About Your Downloaded Content After Console Repair/Refurbishment

Notice to customers who have had their Xbox 360 consoles serviced by Microsoft: If you previously downloaded content from Xbox LIVE Marketplace prior to your console service, you need to connect to Xbox LIVE to restore the licenses for that content on this console. If you don't, you'll only be able to use that content when signed in to Xbox LIVE with the profile that originally downloaded the content.

To restore your licenses:

1. Attach your hard drive or memory unit.
2. Turn on the console.
3. Sign in to Xbox LIVE with the gamer profile that originally downloaded the content.
4. Go to Xbox LIVE Marketplace and select Account Management, Download History.
5. Select an item and then select Download Again.
6. Repeat step 5 for each item in your download history.

After you download your content again, anyone on this console can use it, whether you're signed in to Xbox LIVE or not.

License restoration will only work on the console as returned to you by Microsoft’s service center.

If you need further assistance contact Customer Support.

Yes, you have to download them again, But it's free, It was a good excuse for me to get rid of stuff I didn't want on the hard drive anymore anyway.

I must order a transfer cable from Microsoft as am still currently using my 20gb hard drive with my elite. With the cable I can transfer everything over to the 120gb hard drive.

Anyone seen the new Xbox 360 coming out soon. Smaller thinner and loads of new gadgets with it.

Will have to wait and see if it's any more reliable. Laughing

You have a job now so why not treat yourself. I bought my first xbox as a little treat for myself after leaving my crappy last job lol!

Then we can have a few races on SBK X. You will have to buy it of course. Or maybe a Racing.Forummotion F1 championship?.
