Good stuff m8, looks like you have a lot of games to keep you going. I must buy a NASCAR game at some stage for cheap, sounds like fun.

Hopefully this console will be more reliable for you. Smile

The PS3 version was quite good IMO there were some flaws but good for a giggle with some m8's around. Just a little nudge on the bumper and around they go and to the back of the grid.

I hope so m8, but i am gonna take out the extra insurance which covers for another 3 years, and with it being the creme de la creme if it goes tits up they gotta replace it with whatever is the same that year

Good idea m8, having a brand new console would be nice as well if anything goes wrong - did you buy the X Box from a large retailer?. The NASCAR game sounds good, if I see it less for a tenner in a shop then I'll get it.

I basically got a credit note from trading my PS3 and games and got the X Box from GAME

If i had known you wanted NASCAR for PS3 i would of given you my copy before trading.

Not to worry m8, I do want it but its not one of those 'I want' games like GTA or something, if you know what I mean. I've seen it for cheap before though, as NASCAR does not have a massive following over here. That would have been nice, but its okay. Smile

Buying from GAME makes sense, I gather that they checked if the PS3 worked after you went! lol!

They probably didn't have time to check if discs loaded, in that busy environment. Good flogging though m8! Race Pro is said to be very good. Smile

It is ok m8, not the best. It is for sure based on the old TOCA race driver theme, going through series in career starting off small and then getting to the big bad boys later.

Me too, many years ago we had that with the original Toca on Playstation and Toca 2 with BTCC. Now games like GRID have 50 series and end up being poor. Sad

Don't bother with the extra insurance. 99% of faults with XBOX 360's lie within the red lights coming on. When you get these you can ring Microsoft and they will repair it free of charge even when it is out of the statutory 12 months warranty.

It's down to a shoddy build flaw, they have rectified it somewhat but it still happens on a fairly regular basis.

Nascar 09 is much better than Nascar 08, much more responsive and smooth and tyre management really seems to work!

You might have got your 360 at the right time (or possibly not!). We are out of stock at the moment of the Arcade, Pro and Elite machines (I own a video-games shop for a living) and when trying to re-order last week was told by Microsoft that they have no stock in at the moment and dont know when any more will be available. So on the plus side it's good that you got one but on the negative side the reason for the lack of stock from Microsoft is that they are beginning to sort production out ready for a price drop, most likely to combat the PS3's price drop which is "coming soon".

I suppose if your trading its okay, because you getting some money back. Interesting to hear that Microsoft are going to drop the prices of 360's, that usually happends in the life cycle of consoles. I remember when PS2 had large reductions after sales started to decline.

Good to hear that Microsoft repair consoles with that fault, I think that is similar what Sony does with their PS3's. Although in some cases Sony have completely replaced customers console's, like motorracingp's.

Sony completely replace the console, including sending the courier to your doorstep to do the changeover, if it's under the 12 month warranty free of charge. Outside the warranty it's currently a 145 charge!

They replaced my PS3 about 3 months ago when the laser bust, couldn't fault the service, had a new machine within 4 days.

It depends how long you want it for. Oh and if you want the best get Xbox live Gold. Silver doesn't let you do hardly anything. IE: play friends online.

You can pay for just one Month (Or look around for free trials), 6 months or 12 months.

I just pay for the 12 months as it's only 40 which is the cost of a new game anyway.

You cant buy silver, it's free of charge. Basically lets you access the store.

12 months RRP of Gold Live is 39.99, 3 months is 14.99

hmm, difficult as they have dropped the price of the PS3 to 250.

i think it may swing the PS3's way just after GT5 comes out, maybe march next year, but they really need to sort out their online service & the only way they can do that is by charging for it.

With the price drop of the PS3 or the price of the new slimline version with 120gb harddrive which is also 250, I am definatly getting one now. I am tempted with the slim, But that's just basic price without any games, Where as the 80gb will still be sold for 250 but with games included.

Just get both Cerca lol!

The PS3 suddenly becomes even more attractive now that you can have a 120gb version for under 250, yikes, I brought mine for 300 and it has 40gb. Obviously Sony need to compete with Microsoft and Nintendo, with sales of PS3 suffering. But considering the quality of the console and features, it is now well worth purchasing.

I seem to remember when PS2 dropped in price, demand rose significantly. Todays marketplace is clearly a little different, with stronger rivals and a weaker economy. But I would be amazed if PS3 sales do not rise by some margain by January i.e. just after the Christmas period.

I'd buy a PS3. Wink
