The ACO confirmed that it is open to running the latest generation FIA GT1 regulations, meaning that this year's race will be the last for the likes of the Chevrolet Corvette C.6R and Aston Martin DBR9.

So there is a chance it may be allowed to run, maybe alongside the Maserati MC1

Well at least we will be able to see the Maserati at Le Mans perhaps, and also the new Nissan too. The ACO are making a good decision here imo and it will perhaps see the re-birth of the GT1 battles of the past too.

Theoretically any sports car that races in GT3 should be easy to prepare to the 2010 GT1 regulations. Therefore Aston Martin Vantage, Audi R8, etc.
Wonder if anyone will be brave enough to build a Morgan?

I would like to see more sportscars at Le Mans, Koenigsegg is one of them. Seeing some Audi R8's and Jaguar XKR's would be good too, in the new GT1 series.
