Well I've followed the masses and got the red ring of fire on my xbox tonight. Was on it earlier with no problems at all, Then just tried going back on and bang, " Johnny cash" hits.

What, your X Box went tits up? If so, I feel sorry for you. I hate it when electrical goods go wrong.

Yeah it did. I've had it for 2 years and 6 months so it had a good innings by Microsoft standards. Luckily my mate knows how to fix it, So no need to send it back to Bill Gates to fix it. cheers

I would love to get a Ps3 but it just doesn't have the online enjoyment like what Xbox live does. Plus doesn't have as good racing games.

PS3 are ok but not alot of racing games out on it.

Something that is racing...The playstation Home game. EA have place and they a small racing game is good fun, they also have golf and poker.

This is my only issue with PS3, the lack of racing games. If Supercar Challenge, Superstar V8's, GT5, NFS and F1 2010 turn out to be really good, perhaps I can justify the purchase. But I cannot really at the moment. Burnout Paradise was lots of fun though.

I thought I would just put this in here, instead of starting another topic as it is my thread anyway.

After being without an xbox for the last 2 months or so, I've bought myself an Elite today.

What I want to know is?, Will I be able to put my old 20gb harrdrive into my new Elite and still have my gamertag and stuff on it.

I've heard that I won't be able to play all the xbox live games/arcade games i've downloaded now tough, but so long as I can still just put in a game and play that will be ok?.

Do I really have to bother with Micros**t to get a transfer data cable to transfer my data to the new 120gb harddrive- Which I will do eventually but I just want tp play it for now.

Am sorry if this makes no sense am a bit tired after being up since 3am lol!

Another X Box 360, yikes, if one failed I wouldn't buy another. Same goes for any console.

I wouldn't buy xbox from there. It's not worth it. it's £281 with no games. Don't get discount because it's cheap enough all ready Rolling Eyes

Am waiting for the LED tv's to be reduced like lol! £400 less then currys

The diecasts came in a few months ago but all the good ones have gone now. You should wait till after xmas as their will get reduced further.

To think you could buy one £11 at the minute, where as it would cost you about £30 in a certain model shop.

there is some way of of transfering data from 1 xbox 360 to a second one. Something about contacting microsoft and then uploading it into a sucure storage area and then transfering it. Don't know how though.

you need a transfer lead from microsoft

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm

Quote :
Xbox 360™ Elite includes a massive 120GB hard drive, a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) port, a high-definition cable, and a premium black finish for the console, as well as a black wireless controller and Xbox LIVE® headset.

Transferring Hard Drive Data
You can transfer the data from your current 20GB Hard Drive to your new 120GB Hard Drive with the Data Transfer Cable.

The Data Transfer Cable is included with the 120GB Hard Drive accessory. If you've purchased a new Xbox 360 Elite system and want to transfer your data, you can also get a free Data Transfer Cable from Microsoft

this is what my mate did with his Smile

you may be able to phone them up, not sure though.

At the minute I just have my 20gb connected to the elite so it's ok for now, But when I get time I will eventually transfer it over as it seems stupid getting a new xbox and not using the bigger harddrive.

Oh how i've missed Xbox live. It's great to be back up online.
