What is wrong with the weather?

I can only see cloudy each day to begin with and then brilliant sunshine on that one.

I'm sure Liz would rather be behind the wheel than behind the mic, but I'm sure all you watching at home will benefit from her great commentary.

As for the weather forecast, they can barely get what is going to happen tomorrow right, so how can they say what it is gonna be like for the race already?

If you go on their website Mark, you can download a high-res copy pic of the car and drivers to use as an autograph card, although I suspect they will have plenty in Le Mans anyway.

Well, it is certainly an individualistic livery!

Does anybody know why the current GT2-spec 997's do not feature the updated LED running lights, and LED rear lights like on the 2009 spec production 997? This car would look even better then.

listen to midweek motorsport from wednesday night. They had a discussion on this very subject, ie the cars that are racing verses sales. based on the new touring regs.

tehy cam to the conclusion that, the model isn't important, it's the bradning. What happens in scandivavia is lots of second hand cars, old bmw and things. They supported by the dealers, because if the old shape 320i wins they sell new 3 series.

They are private team cars, not works supported.

There are factory 997's, and they don't have them either.

there not factory cars, there owned by the teams but have some factory backing, which means probaly and engine upgrade and a factory driver, Mark Leib or Emmanuelle COllard or Richard Westbrook etc, etc.

So who builds them then? I was under the impression that Porsche made the cars, then customers buy them.

porsche builds all of them, most were built 3 years ago and updated.

it might be a power thing or a rules thing?

They'll be 2007 and 2008 cars developed by the teams. Updating lights to the latest spec will be at the bottom of their "to do" list and not a huge priority on their budget spend either. If Porsche were kind enough to supply the parts FOC, they'd probably have to send along an engineer to fit them as well.
