Good to hear, no doubt the number of Brits over there is gonna be even more than normal this year, which is saying something!

Oh yeah it never fails to impress how many of us are over there. I think the Danes are catching up now though.

Yep, that was the impression I got in 2007 when I went. The French just seem to disappear amongst all of the other nations during the weekend.

They do dissapear m8, it is so strange. But it is such an event that can bring all these people together and the worst i have heard is that a few English people knicked a Tyre Buggy from the Paddock and were driving down to Mulsanne on it. I know this as they passed us on the way down there.

It was the year we decided to walk down there from the pits. DO NOT DO IT! It works out at 11 miles each way walking.

you never hear of any trouble at all.

One of the pre race highlights on Saturday afternoon for me is the national anthems, with each countries anthem being sung louder than the one before, until you get to the last 2, Great Britain & France, there is very little between them.

Sadly the first GT 1 race will be missing this year, between the works Aston Martin and Corvette teams, out of the pits to starting position.

Someone should write to Jetalliance to see if they can race the Astons to the start.

But there is only one GT1 team I can support, the JLOC team, they put in a heroic effort to make it to the start a couple of years ago.

Yep I remember that well, I think everyone wanted them to go well after all the effort that they put in.

Right, for those who are going this year, I have found details of the pit garage line-up on planetlemans.com

The link is here:-http://www.planetlemans.com/2009/05/18/le-mans-24-hours-pit-lane-allocation/

Thanks for that Sav, I'll check that out too.

In other Aston Martin news, the final three drivers for the cars at Le Mans have been confirmed as Anthony Davidson, Stuart Hall and Jos Verstappen.

It appears the line-ups will be as follows:-
Mucke/Enge/Charouz
Turner/Davidson/Verstappen
Hall/Primat/Ramos

My pleasure, they have quite a few shirts on sale, cheapest one is £24.99 at Alex Reade.

I am pleased for Davidson, he was speaking during his F1 commentary role this morning how much he is looking foward to driving for Aston.

Yep Davidson has deserved a break for a while now, and no doubt he will be champing at the bit to get on with this one. I wonder if he does well whether he would consider a career in sportscar, although with the new teams joining F1 in 2010 he could probably get a ride there I feel.

Hearing from how Davidson speaks and commentates, he really appreciates being picked by Aston-Martin, but really wants to be in F1. I hope I Sport can pick him up, if they enter F1 next year.
