PostSubject: BSB thread   Tue Apr 14, 2009 4:28 am

Post all BSB news, Results, talk on this one thread.

Fantastic start to the season. It's still going to take some getting used to not having Airwaves ducati racing and without Bryne, Haslam,Sykes, Crutchlow this year.
But there was still some great racing through out the day and a big congrat's to Silvain for winnign his first BSB race at the first attempt.

He speaks perfect English for a Frenchman Laughing

Camier won race two so I think it may be between him and Guintoli this season for the title but am not writing anybody off yet.

Biggest crash of the day goes to the Superstock 600CC. That was a mad crash, There were at least 5-6 bikes caught up in the incident after one of the riders loses control coming out of Clark curve and following riders collect each other, With one of the bikes smashing into the stranded bike on the track and exploding into flames.

I think i am going to support Stuart Easton this season, he is in my MCN fantasy team so i was pleased to see him go well today Very Happy Disapointed in Ellison though, expected more from him but as you say, looks like it could be Camier and Guinter's for the title

Yep, he didn't sound French hardly at all in the interview. I can tell he is gonna become a crowd favorite in the coming months.

Good start to the season for Leon Camier too, hopefully he can go all the way this season and win the title.

I've just watched the BSB from Donington I had recorded from Yesterday.

Just a usual boring bank holiday for the bikes lol!

That Superstock 600 race was mental, 40 riders with their brains removed. Cool That is why bikes are far better then anything on 4 wheels.

Leon Camier won the first race but struggled in the 2nd after his bike broke down on him putting him down to last place.

Rider of the day for me is Simon Andrews on the Kwak, Riding with No electronics on the bike and gets 4th place in Race 2, After crashing out race 1.

Most bizarre incident though is Ginter's crash. He has suffered a broken leg and will be out for a few months after being hit by Josh Brookes on the Sighting lap. Not even the warm up lap.

Statement made after the race

Yep that was a shocking incident involving Ginter's, just hope he recovers well and can get back on a bike asap. Although that looks like the end of the title battle this season I feel. I think Camier is too far ahead already imo, and is going to take a miracle for someone else to pip him to the title.

I was expecting a Slyvain win yesterday with him having experience of that track. But it wasn't to be.

I don't think anyone else is good enough, Harris will crash again a few times this season, Walker will again perform poorly, Easton I think will push to much and suffer and Ellison will be best of the rest but out performed by his team mate.

The HM Plant Honda of Richards may pick up a win but won't challenge every race

Some good racing again today at Thruxton, but it is fast turning into the Leon Camier show, if he carries on in this kind of form then the title will be his long before the end of the season. There was a mega ride from Josh Brookes in the second race, just a shame that he made such a poor start. The good performances from Rutter just go to show how bad his old bike was, or that it didn't suit him.

Razz Razz I am telling you guys. Andrews is the next big thing. He now has traction control on the bike and he is getting used to how the bike handles now, It's only going to get better for him.

I can now see him crashing first corner after I've said that lol!

I think realisticly it's a battle for 2nd place between the rest of the top guys, as Camier will get out in front and pull away.

Camier wins again. Oh dear this is getting very predictable now.

Race Two is on later. Missed most of the other action today as the Wsbk's has been on.

Why have the BSB and WSBK on the same day on the same channel? Evil or Very Mad zero Angry

Yep I think Camier has got the title in the bag this season tbh, as soon as Guintoli had his accident then that was the end of the battle tbh. There are quite a few riders who are unachieving this season imo, including people like Richards and Ellison, who I thought would be in the running for the title this season.

Ellison? Maybe, Richards definitely. Brookes has shown the HM Plant Honda has pace, But Richards has been nowhere.

I think deep down we all sort of knew this season wasn't going to be like last years with all the top riders missing, But to see Camier dominate is bad for the series.

But hey that's what he is getting paid to do and doing it well Laughing

I hope he can as perhaps that will spice up the racing towards the end of the season although I fear that the damage is already done with regards to the championship.
