It looks spectacular. Personally, this is the most interesting and advance-looking sports car in ages. It makes the Peugeot 908 look dated. The R15 looks evil, its just a shame it hasn’t got an evil sounding engine.

Imsgine the R15 with the Aston’s engine? Hmm….

http://www.planetlemans.com/2009/04/02/bernhard-and-dumas-reinforce-audi-at-le-mans/

Quote :
With Timo Bernhard (Germany), Dindo Capello (Italy), Romain Dumas (France), Tom Kristensen (Denmark), Lucas Luhr (Germany), Allan McNish (Scotland), Alexandre Prémat (France), Mike Rockenfeller (Germany) and Marco Werner (Germany) Audi Sport Team Joest’s driver lineup is arguably as powerful as it can be.

not to sure personally.. What was wrong with Biela? I know Pirro has retired Sad But good replacements in Bernhard & Dumas

I assume Audi were not happy with Biela last year. but Dumas especially will be a good addition for Audi.

He may of upset them but everyone needs a driver that has won Le Mans 5 Times IMO!

Pretty sure he will be in a car somewhere at Le Mans, unless he too has decided to retire now

Its a travesty that both don't sound like real racing cars.

Oh well, at least their are the LMP1 Astons to provide some music!

How does the noise compare to the first time you went?

The problem I have, is that the Audi R15 and Peugeot 908 are Le Mans star cars - yet they don't sound like racing cars should. The rest of the grid will sound fine (as I found at LMS last year). But just imagine if the Audi's and the Peugeot's had kick ass petrol V12's...

I bet Audi could do an amazing job with a V12 petrol. Or just make it biofuel. that sounds epic too.

They have not changed m8, just the sound of the tyres really, which should be impossible for DIEsel!

Must agree about the Bio Fuel! The Team Nasamax that ran in 2003 was mega sounding.

They need more Corvette's and Panoz though.

I did read that Panoz was coming back with another LMP1 with a Corvette Block instead of the Elan

Laughing

Must agree about the noise about the Corvette, it sounds like a LOUD fart. Oh hang on, is that a good thing? Razz lol!

I think bio-fuel is ace, you can say it is green and it sounds amazing - what a great compromise.

R15 bodywork questioned

Peugeot, Aston Martin Racing and ORECA are among the teams seeking a rules clarification on key elements of the radical R15. They have questioned the way Audi has used the bodywork for aerodynamic effect.

Ha! I was just thinking that.

Do Peugeot want to complain about Audi's double diffuser too?! Laughing Wink
